Robert Colombo [email protected], Please try, is a very large group of folks with that name. Samuel RAYMOND born in 1865 Parents being John RAYMOND born in 1834 and Matilda Gordon born in 1836. Some said he deserted, but much of the story does not match the facts which I have found. The Drouin Collection of records (available by subscription online) may be a help to you if you feel he may of had French roots. I am hoping to find where the families of John and Matilda came from. I believe shortly after he arrived in August of 1814 and after the Treaty in 1815 he may have been given a military land grant. In 1840 he is living in Wheelock Vermont and marries in 1841 Chloe BLANCHARD. I still have no answer on Maria/Abigail Smith GRISWOLD . I did not find the children of John in the school records indexed here from the 1800 - 1850. Davis, widow of Moses Raymond dies in Compton May 23, 1871 (she was 47), the local paper asked the NH and MA papers to please copy her death notice. 8, 1872 Emma Jane Raymond, daughter of the above couple died aged she was 21 years 10 mo. Brad [email protected] have an ancestor, Lewis BEEBE, who appears in Michigan in four census, 1850 thru 1880, then disappears. His parents Samuel and Catherine also live out their days in Wheelock. Jeanie Thornton Roberts [email protected] wrote you back some time ago in reference to the Elisha GRISWOLD family. I have found death records on John GRISWOLD and Henry GRISWOLD . We've then traced most of his children, one of whom is my great grandfather.Sometimes they use the word "chosen" or some other word for an adopted child. Virginie was the daughter of Theodule Chenelle and Victoria Ramsay. 28, 1857 and baptized as an adult in the Methodist church Stanstead Twp. Sadly I have not found much on the first names you have mentioned. Their ladies must have been very popular with the Raymond men. John Clifford [email protected] missing birth/address information I am seeking is on Albert F SABALL (SABOLL). 1833-1892 And was buried at Fitch Bay with his wife Naomi MARTIN (1831-1888)and son Joseph Cephas SABALL (d. ) Saball Groton, Massachusetts [email protected] am looking for information on Alonzo & Mary ALEXANDER such as where they lived in Georgeville, the vital stats on their children who were born in Georgeville.I want to begin by telling you how much I appreciate your time with me on the telephone today regarding the SABALL ancestry. 1949 Massachusetts His father was Louis Sabolle and was baptized at (Sacred Heart) Missions des Cantons de l'Est 28/05/1839, age de 3 semaines Francois et Adelaide Gravelle, journalier du canton de Stanstead Along with SABOLLE, Felix 8/05/1839 age de 2 ans 3 mois SABOLLEMarie-Philomene bapt 11/07/1842 nais 13/06/1842Alphay, Louis, Cyrus, George, Marie, Alfred, Emma The relative with the Masonic Symbol was Julius G SABALL (jr) b. The records for the parish of Sacre Coeur when it was served by a missionnary priest are on a few pieces of paper that were copied by someone who had gone to the diocese office years ago. However if you were to have a look at the Drouin Records you should find all catholic records there. I do not find the name Raymond on the 1791 NH census but there are several in Vermont. My grandfather was born in Georgeville, so I am assuming the other children were as well.

His parents are listed as Noah COLLARD (Noe) and Virginia CHENELLE.

Family stories suggest he was part indian , adopted as a baby.

Other stories suggest Noe and family went back and forth from the US.

Sophia says in all censuses she was born in Canada and her parents were Canadian.

I've been looking throughout Vermont for years and recently focused in on the Stanstead/Derby area because I'm convinced he was born south of the border and his parents lived north of the border.I have since been able to find some answers and thought it should be posted in case someone should be looking and find it.1. Getting back to Lewis, he married a Sophia (one reference has her surname as SAGE).In most of the censuses he has said he was born in Vermont (in one it says New York), and that his parents were born Canadian.I have covered all the Historical Societies north of the border, with Kathy Curtis being very helpful.
